What did you expect? A deep and realistic drama?
“Spiderman” is a kids movie, based on kids comics.
It’s like criticizing a fairy tale for being too unrealistic and shallow.

You two hit the nail on the head with this video.. agree 100%.. this movie sucked, it was all aesthetics and no actual content.. I am not a comic book fan nor do I actually care for the Spiderman series but as a kid I remember playing this spider man game on my Super Nintendo and Venom absolutely kicked ass. I was excited to see what that was all about and this movie was a huge disappointment.

hmm, as someone who …
hmm, as someone who never read the comics, but used to watch the Saturday morning cartoon, all I can complain about is the lack of the “Gene Simons tongue” on Venom. They probably could have done without the Sandman, too, in order to focus more on Venom and Hob Goblin. Bruce Campbell definately stole the show as the French waiter though. Finally a box office movie for him.

The thing about …
The thing about Eddie Brock being in the church when Parker took off the symbiote DID occur like in the comic books in Web of Spider Man, but I can still see the irony in that if I hadn’t read the comics. I think that if the focus had been on Venom only as opposed three villains and they went to lengths to explain the symbiote, how it works, and all of that, then Venom’s presence in the movie probably could have been more exciting, but I think Venom was only added to appeal to his huge fanbase.

One of the worst …
One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen and I love Spidey. An hour and a half of sap and over-rehashed jokes to get to a half hour of action was way too much for a bad story. Nice call on the George Lucas comparison. Spidey 3 = Star Wars 3 but much much worse. Some nice looks but totally wooden

if you actually …
if you actually know about Venom they did tell nearly all of his backstory. and to clear the sandman story up, he has hardly any interesting background in the comics, so Raimi added a history to the charecter because he had no history in the comics to begin with.

Batman and Robin …
Batman and Robin didn’t suffer from the amount of villains. It suffered from the massive stupidity. Not to mention the constant “Ice” puns.

the bit of the film …
the bit of the film i hated the most was the bit were he was walking down the street showing off in front of the ladies , which didn’t fit into the movie at all nor did it fit in with his character

Yeah sandman dosen’t even belong in the symbiote series. It should’ve been goblin and venom it would’ve been better.
